thomas sadoski-2Sadoski began his stage career in theatre in his role as an assistant to Mark Ruffalo (Mark Rosenthal) in the Off-Broadway production of the Second Stage Theatre of Kenneth Lonergan's critically acclaimed play This is Our Youth. This production was the beginning of many for the New york-based theatre group. He has performed in many Off-Broadway and Broadway productions. He also was a part of various regional theatre productions. In 2008, he played the part as Greg in Neil LaBute's play Reasons to be pretty for MCC Theatre alongside The Newsroom co-star Alison Pill. After a sell-out Off-Broadway production the play was moved to Broadway in April 2009. It earned three Tony Award nominations, including Best actor and Best actress: Marin Ireland, and three Drama Desk Award nominations for Best actor and Best Director: Terry Kinney. [6] Neil LaBute credited Sadoski with the change in tone in the play Reasons to Be Pretty that was different from his earlier productions. He stated: "His thoughtfulness and good heart allowed him not to fall back upon anything that I've done before." My plays are dark. Though I believed that gray was a real thing, he showed me that there are many hues to life. He played the character in Trip Wyeth, Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities. For this role, he won an Obie Award as well as the Lucille Lortel Award. After a sell-out Off-Broadway performance in November of 2011 the show was transferred to Broadway and was named Outstanding New Off-Broadway performance by the Outer Critics Circle. Sadoski was also seen on Broadway alongside Ben Stiller, Edie Falco, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Alison Pill in John Guare's House of Blue Leaves
