She's reported on sports for some of one of the largest media outlets in the world. It was a long time at The Washington Post covering football, basketball, multiple Olympics as well as Grand Slam Tennis. Nichols began a nine year stint at ESPN where she was awarded 2 Emmy Awards, and featured on many of ESPN's top programs like NFL Countdown and SportsCenter. In her role as a reporter on the sidelines as well as a participant on Monday Night Football. She then moved to CNN and Turner Sports. Unguarded by Rachel Nichols was the first program she hosted and created. It aired on CNN International as well as CNN. The show was watched by more than one billion viewers around the globe. Nichols was employed by TNT as a reporter and reporter on NBA games that included regular season games, playoffs and All Star broadcasts. The work she did for TBS covered golf and baseball coverage as well as Final Four broadcasts by CBS. The only woman to have been selected amongst more than two hundred nominations in the history of 42 years for the honor.
