Julia Fiona Roberts, born on October 28, 1967, on the 28th of October, 1967 in Atlanta to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. Roberts is from the fourth generation of Roberts family that lived in Atlanta. This began with her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts who was farmer. Early on, her father became interested in theater. When he was a student at Emory University he appeared in numerous productions in and outside of the campus. He joined the air force in 1953. During his time stationed in Biloxi Mississippi, he was a part of the military's production, which featured Betty Lou Bredemus who was also in the Air force. In 1955, the couple got married and, in 1956, their child Eric Anthony was born. Walter along with his wife were discharged from the Air Force in 1957 and enrolled Walter in Tulane University. Walter was employed by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to be a part of the production team for Bum Bum and His Buddies. The show was filmed in Decatur Georgia. Walter and Betty Lou produced a Saturday matinee local TV show for kids known as Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964, a project that they funded themselves. They also founded the Actors and Writers Workshop in the year 1964, and it was in operation for a period of about six years. They had two more kids Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in the year 1965, and Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
